Gianna understands the needs of professional, small business owners and start-ups, from her experience as an attorney and starting several ventures outside of her legal career. Gianna’s practice focuses on the intersection of law and technology focusing on Internet, intellectual property, and information technology and privacy work in both transactions and litigation. More specifically, such work includes invasion privacy audits, data breach notifications, data protection for businesses, information governance, online defamation, cyber-stalking, and special outside privacy counsel. Morever, Gianna counsels law enforcement agencies and schools addressing the unique challenges that technology causes in terms of privacy, compliance, online bullying, and criminal behavior. To continue to hone her skills and keep up with the rapid pace of technology, Gianna collaborates with the top executives from some of the world’s most successful start-ups through her continued involvement in Emerging Business Committee of Chicago and Chicago Summit Series Group.


Undergrad: I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne with Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences in Speech Communication and Spanish.
Law School: I attended the John Marshall Law School in Chicago for my Juris Doctor and my Master of Law in International Business and Trade.

I spent two years interning at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in the Felony Trial Division and one year interning at the DUI and Traffic Division. I have had my own solo practice since 2010. I have handled cases ranging from employment rights to criminal to transactional cases.
